Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Nehmedia, Inc. wants doghouseholds.com and the Dog Households application to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as our target.
What We Do
- Choose text and button colors for readable contrast.
- Provide text descriptions for images.
- Keep pages usable with a keyboard, with a visible outline on whatever has focus.
- Use headings, labels and landmarks so screen readers can find their way around a page.
- On maps, pair color with a second cue, such as a number on each rank-grid point, so meaning does not depend on color alone.
- Check our pages with automated accessibility testing whenever we change them, and fix what it finds.
Known Limitations
Interactive maps are hard to make fully accessible. Where a map is the only way to see something, we are working to provide the same information another way, such as a table, a spreadsheet export or a PDF. Rank scans can already be exported as a spreadsheet.
Some content on our site comes from other companies, such as map tiles and embedded tools. We cannot always control how accessible it is, but we will help you get the same information another way.
Supported Browsers
Dog Households is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile, and with the screen readers and magnifiers built into them.
Report a Barrier
If something on our site or in the application is hard to use, email info@doghouseholds.com or call (512) 828-6763, and tell us the page and what happened. We will reply within 24 hours and work with you to provide the information another way.
